Short description (74 / 80)
Learn budgeting, saving and debt basics with short lessons and simulators.
Full description (2047 / 4000)
MoneyBasics is an educational app about everyday money concepts, written without the jargon. Follow a learning path, read a short lesson, work through an example with specific numbers, then check your understanding with a quiz.
What is included:
- 60 lessons across 4 tracks: Money Basics, Saving, Borrowing and Investing Basics
- 15 lessons in each track, each with a worked numeric example
- 3 quiz questions after every lesson, 180 in total. Each answer comes with an explanation that uses another example
- Progress for each track, saved on your device
Four simulators with sliders and a chart that updates as you move them:
- Compound growth: see deposits and interest build over time
- Installments: see the monthly payment, total repaid and total interest for example numbers
- Emergency fund: see a target and how long it could take to reach
- Inflation: see how buying power changes over time
Simulators run on your device. You choose made-up numbers, and the values are not saved.
Ask AI about a situation: describe a money situation in your own words and get the related concepts explained in plain language, with one worked example. Every answer ends with the reminder that it is general knowledge, not personal financial advice. AI output can contain mistakes, so check important figures. Ask AI does not choose products or tell you what to do.
When you tap Explain, the text you typed is sent through the MoneyBasics API gateway to an AI service to write the answer. The app does not save that text. Do not include names, card numbers, account numbers or passwords. Ask AI needs an internet connection. Lessons, quizzes and simulators work offline.
An optional daily study reminder and light and dark appearance are available in Settings.
MoneyBasics is for education only. It is not a bank, lender, broker or financial adviser. It does not offer loans or investments, does not give personal financial advice, and never asks for bank account details. There is no account, advertising, analytics, tracking or in-app purchase.
