Privacy Policy

Effective November 3, 2026. This policy covers the MoneyBasics Android app and this website.

Summary

MoneyBasics has no account, advertising, analytics, tracking or in-app purchase. It never asks for bank account details or income. Most features run entirely on your device.

Stored on your device

This data stays in the app's private storage and is not sent to us. Android's own device backup may include it, depending on your device settings. Simulator values are not saved.

Ask AI

Ask AI is optional. When you tap Explain, the text you typed is sent over HTTPS through the MoneyBasics API gateway to an AI service (Google Gemini) to write the answer. It is used only to produce that answer. The app does not save your text or the answer, and it has no history feature. The AI service processes requests under its provider's own terms.

Do not include names, card numbers, account numbers or passwords. The app refuses to send text that looks like a card or account number, but this check cannot catch everything.

Notifications

If you turn on the daily reminder, Android asks for notification permission. The reminder is scheduled on your device, and no data is sent.

This website has no account, advertising, analytics, form or tracking cookie. Its hosting provider may process basic request information, such as IP address and browser details, to deliver and secure the site.

Children

MoneyBasics does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Children should not submit personal information through Ask AI.

Your choices

You can use lessons, quizzes and simulators without Ask AI. Clearing the app's data in Android settings, or uninstalling it, removes local data.

Changes

If these practices change, this page will be updated before the related app release.
